IT Network Administrator

We are looking for an IT Network Administrator for our partner HayPass who will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and security of an organization's network infrastructure across on-premises, virtualized, and containerized environments. This role requires hands-on expertise with advanced network security solutions such as F5, Wallix, Fortinet, Palo Alto along with a strong understanding of sandbox environments, multi-tier architectures, and ISO/IEC 27001security standards. The IT Network Administrator ensures high availability, scalability, and security of IT systems while supporting daily operations and strategic infrastructure projects.

HayPass is the company which entered into public private partnership with the Armenian Government to implement the new biometric ID management infrastructure and ID card project.

HayPass will then operate the infrastructure and deliver ID Services to the Citizen of Armenia (on

behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) for the next 11 years.

Reporting Line: Reports to IT Manager

Primary Responsibilities

 

• Setup, configure, secure and monitor LAN/WAN environments, VPNs, and remote access systems.

• Configure and manage enterprise-grade firewalls and security platforms such as:

        - Fortinet, FortiGate, Palo Alto, NGFW or similar firewalls

        - F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM modules)

        - Wallix Bastion for privileged access management (PAM)

• Conduct regular network assessments, vulnerability scans, and hardening.

• mplement network zoning and segmentation based on multi-tier application architecture.

• Support multi-tier architecture spanning web, application, and DB layers.

• Ensure traffic routing and security controls align across each tier.

• Maintain and optimize data center (DC) cabling, rack layouts, and physical network infrastructure.

• Ensure HA through structured cabling & patch panel management

• Maintain equipment, lifecycle, asset tracking, and HW upgrades

• Implement monitoring tools to track system health and performance.

• Apply patches, updates, and firmware upgrades across infrastructure.

• Align network infra configurations with ISO/IEC 27001 standards.

• Harden physical and virtual systems against unauthorized access & threats.

• Implement role-based access controls, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

• Participate in internal/external audits and risk assessments.

• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and policies.

• Troubleshoot complex network, firewall, and connectivity issues.

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for network and infrastructure incidents.

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Required Qualifications
 

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3–5+ years of experience in Network/IT infrastructure administration.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, firewalls, and network segmentation

• Experience with secure infrastructure design and high-availability networking

• Proficient in troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and security issues

• Comfortable with cross-functional collaboration (Security, Infrastructure)

• Excellent on documentation and change management practices

• Strong focus on compliance, business continuity, and data protection

• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation.

• ITIL knowledge and practices.
