Electrical & Construction Engineer

We are looking for a junior to mid Electrical & Construction Engineer for our partner HayPass to support the maintenance and operation of the technical infrastructure of the HayPass project. You will assist in preventive and corrective maintenance, support construction and installation activities, and help ensure that systems are operating safely and efficiently.

Job location will be in Yerevan, but candidate should be willing to travel occasionally within Armenia)

​

HayPass is the company which entered into public private partnership with the Armenian Government to implement the new biometric ID management infrastructure and ID card project.

HayPass will then operate the infrastructure and deliver ID Services to the Citizen of Armenia (on

behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) for the next 11 years.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintenance & Technical Support

• Assist in performing inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and facility systems (e.g. lighting, LV/MV systems, UPS, generators, and distribution panels).

• Support troubleshooting and basic repairs under the supervision of senior technicians.

• Follow maintenance and safety procedures as per company standards.

• Prepare and update service and maintenance reports.

• Help manage spare parts and tools inventory.

 

Construction & Installation Support

• Support facility construction, renovation, and equipment installation activities.

• Help review and interpret simple technical drawings, site plans, and schematics.

• Conduct on-site checks and report observations to senior staff.

• Collaborate with contractors and other engineering teams (civil, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety) to ensure smooth operations.

 

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain logs and basic documentation for maintenance and construction activities.

• Assist in updating as-built drawings and equipment records.

• Follow safety and compliance requirements in coordination with the project team.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of electrical systems, facility maintenance, or construction processes.

• Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in electrical and infrastructure systems.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, reporting tools).

• Problem-solving mindset and a proactive attitude.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings if required.

• Valid Armenian driver’s license preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Construction, or related technical field.

• 0-3 years of relevant experience (internships or vocational training are acceptable).

• Good command of Armenian; basic English knowledge (reading/writing) is required.

• Experience with new construction or facility projects is an advantage but not mandatory.​
