

Cybersecurity Engineer
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer for our partner HayPass. The Cybersecurity Engineer must be proactive and skilled, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems and infrastructure across our IT environment. He/she has hands-on experience in threat mitigation, network security, endpoint protection, and secure system architecture. He/she will work closely with IT, DevOps, and Compliance teams to ensure systems are hardened against cyber threats and aligned with security policies and regulatory requirements for securing and monitoring the organization’s IT infrastructure across on-premises and virtual environments.

HayPass is the company which entered into public private partnership with the Armenian Government to implement the new biometric ID management infrastructure and ID card project.
HayPass will then operate the infrastructure and deliver ID Services to the Citizen of Armenia (on
behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs) for the next 11 years.

Primary Responsibilities

Monitor virtual machine snapshots, templates, and access controls for security risks.

Work with IT infrastructure teams to ensure proper network segmentation and virtualization isolation.

Compliance & Policy Enforcement
-
Support audits and risk assessments by providing evidence, reports, and remediation plans.

Enforce internal cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.

Maintain documentation of security procedures, incident reports, and architecture diagrams.

Required Skills & Qualifications​
-
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
-
3–5+ years in cybersecurity engineering, systems security, or network security.

Experience with SIEM tools (ELK, Splunk, QRadar, etc.) and endpoint protection platforms.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and proxy technologies.

Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Cyberwatch, Tenable, Qualys).

Infrastructure Skills would be very useful:
-
Scripting/automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Proficiency in both Windows and Linux administration and security.

Good understanding knowledge of virtualization: VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V.

Experience in incident response planning and penetration testing.

Experience on tools such as: Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap, PowerShell, Bash, GPO

Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, CIS, NIST).

Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP) are a plus.
